Maintenance

  • Pre-Use Check: A visual inspection must be conducted by the user before each use to check for defects like corrosion, deformation, wear, or illegible labels.
  • Periodic Inspection: A formal, documented inspection by a competent person authorized by the manufacturer is required at least every 6 months.
  • Post-Fall: If the system has been subjected to a fall arrest event, it must be immediately removed from service and retired.
  • Cleaning & Storage: Clean with mild soap and water, and air dry away from direct heat. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area away from chemicals, extreme temperatures, UV light, and sharp edges.
